when I was a little kid, i heard Madonna’s song ‘Like a Virgin’ on the radio. obviously, I didn’t know what a virgin was, so I asked my mum. she said ‘oh.. something that’s very old and dusty’. the next day, my grandma came over for lunch, and I ran up to her and yelled ‘NANA YOU’RE A VIRGIN!!! I’M NOT A VIRGIN!!!!’ and then laughed maniacally. she looked so shocked, i was sure it was just because she was surprised i knew such big words. however I have since learnt the true meaning of the word, and have never forgiven myself.
